How important are the y10 mock gcse results/ predicted grades in sixth form application?

This depends on your school and when you have year 11 mocks.
For me (if i remember correctly as this was a year or so ago!) i had year 10 mocks in June and then my year 11 mocks weren’t until February or march. My school submitted predicted grades to sixth forms in December so at that time no-one had done their year 11 mocks. The predicted grades we were given were the grade we were working at in class plus one. So our mock grades probably have teachers are relatively good idea of what we were working at but class tests and generally effort in their class also came into it.
