Amazon Business Administration Apprenticeship

Hi, I completed my AC today. I’ve seen a number spaces for other Amazon Apprenticeship Schemes but none for the Business Admin role, so I wanted to create a space where anyone else who has completed it or is yet to complete it can share their feedback, thoughts, and experiences!

Do you mind sharing AC for which position?

On the day I completed the artic shores games I received what I think was an instant automated feedback response . I applied to more than one apprenticeship with Amazon and I received only 1 rejection ( SDE ) exactly 2 working days after my artic game lol tbh honest the SDE was my last choice in terms of preference but still applied to it anyways even tho it was the least I was interested in but it’s good to apply to many than just one . For my other application for Amazon business I received an invitation to the video interview 1 week after completing the artic game . The time it takes can range from 2days + , in alignment with there time frame which you can view in the job description. To be honest it’s kinda of confusing to understand fully what my scores meant and most of the description says theres no right or wrong score

I got 4131 so I'm not sure if I'll be qualified for the interview as I got 1s for how you attend to task and how you approach to challenges. Ngl the arrow and lock was confusing it felt impossible to solve. What did you think of the game lol?

I did my Artic shores really early (in November) and got my invitation to a video interview in December. I passed that stage too and got an invite to the AC (which took place yesterday ) this month.
I heard back today and I was sadly not selected so I’m bummed because I worked my a** off preparing for it.

I’m wishing all of you luck anyways! If any of you guys get an offer let me know!!

That's a shame... Wishing you the best on your future apprenticeship! Do you have any tips on the interview stage?

They have many other apprenticeships that you can apply so don’t worry , were you given any feed back from the AC . What do you think you could have done better and what do you think you done that went really well if you don’t mind sharing x also were you sent a straight rejection email or put into a “Talent Bench which I’ve seen other receive opposed to an offer ?

Thank you! And for the interview part of the assessment centre I would say prepare as many real life scenarios as possible, because they can ask you any competency questions based on their 16 leadership principles and a few followup questions.

Thank you. I was straight up rejected. I don’t think they have a reserve list or talent bench (I may be wrong), but I’ve emailed to inquire about that.

I actually thought my AC went pretty well. During the group exercise, I contributed as much as everyone else as we decided to split up the task equally.

I thought my competency based interview went okay as far as answering the questions and demonstrating their principles went, although I did stammer a lot sometimes due to nerves, I also occasionally interrupted my interviewer. I even asked them what the question was again only after fully answering it to make sure I hadn’t gone off track because I had forgotten the question (thanks ADHD + anxiety).
My presentation was okay and the interviewer said it was an interesting talk but I had technical difficulties throughout the whole thing and even had to rejoin the call at some point because my laptop glitched out.

Overall I think I could have prepared better so the nerves wouldn’t have had such an impact on my performance.
I should have also asked for reasonable adjustments tbf, I did myself a huge disservice knowing exactly what I struggle with and still thinking I could hack it without the adjustments🥲

you did really well to get that far, hopefully this will help in your future applications, good luck!
if you were to re-do it, what aspects of the interview would you focus most on , and for the presentation was this technical or still about a topic you’re passionate about?

Apparently the score doesn’t really matter , because with the results I got it said theres no “right or wrong answer but I think that’s a lie lol because I got a rejection email for the SDE role 2 days after the games . But made it to receiving an offer for the account manager role .
