My mum is forcing me to do DOFE, I'm begging not to do it

My mum is forcing me to do DOFE, she said if I don't do it, no phone nor TV for a year, and she isn't letting me have a say in anything, she's forcing me to do it against my own will. I am volunteering with my school and she asked them to force me to do it so I'm stuck, I'm begging her not to do it but to no use. What do I do?

I guess it depends what level you are doing your DoFE, If you are doing Bronze then its mostly chill, obviously you have to do the really long walk but once its over, you look back on how fun it was, I wouldnt do it again, unless you are a person that is very keen on extracurriculars, then I would recommend.

If your friends are doing it too, and you will do it with others i heard it is quite fun to do, going on adventures learning life skills and things, so try to enjoy it, and i heard even though they say DOFE is all of that and that is really good for your Cv and things apparently employers don't really care about it anymore.

Does she realise it's a complete waste of time? You'd be better off organising your own volunteering - D of E gives no benefit to your CV at all..
