Fasting during exams - Muslims only

Salam brothers and sisters, I am a 16F and as you know the month of Ramadan is approaching! I've always loved this month and the good atmosphere it brings! Anyway, I'm in year 11 and I've got my last set of mocks during Ramadan, and because I will be fasting, I'm worried this is going to affect my concentration and possibly my grades. 😐 This time we are doing a full set as well so I basically have 2 mocks everyday! Does anyone have any advice on staying focused or not feeling tired whilst fasting during exams? 😃

WSalam, the only advice i have sister is to make sure you have a fulfilling amount of food during sehri so you do not go into the exam on an empty stomach. Best of luck with your exams 🩷.

Wa'alaykum as salam @TwistedParadox 🙂

I hope you're well. Initially you may feel a dip in the first few days of Ramadhan as it will take your body a little time to adjust to the new routine and times of eating. Best thing for you to do like @catbaskets mentioned is to ensure you have a good suhoor. Have protein rich and nutritious foods that will help you power through the day.

Do not go hungry at suhoor as that will affect you and you won't maintain enough energy. Also try drink lots of water between Maghrib and Fajr in the morning so you don't become overly dehydrated either. Whatever you do if revising, try take regular breaks and go for walks if the weather permits. You'll be more than okay, like you said the atmosphere of this month is amazing. Good luck 🙂

Wsalam, I just wanted to say that you aren't alone. I too have mocks in the middle of ramadan, but I think we should be as grateful as we can even though it will be hard. Insha Allah we and other Muslims who have exams soon are happy with the outcomes!
