Kingston or MetFilm for BA Filmmaking

Heyy, I need some insight on what course to choose. I've applied to some unis in London for filmmaking and got offers from all of them besides UAL (my top choice), which I haven't heard back from yet. Whilst I wait for a decision from them, I want to choose where i'm going in case I don't get an offer. From the other 4 I applied, Kingston and MetFilm have the best film courses by far, but I don't know which one to choose. I've heard that MetFilm sells itself as something it's not and the student/ social life is nonexistent, but it does appear to have a lot of industry connections and good facilities (although some people say otherwise). Kingston is a lovely area and I really like the uni, but I've heard their industry connections are minimal and the course is very entry level, which is something I don't want.
Please let me know if anyone has any experience or insight on these unis

Hi @maqbacelar

Congratulations on your offers!

Have you been to an open day?

I don't personally study film here at Kingston but I am part of the Kingston School of Art which I know has a great reputation within the industry. The careers team and my lectures keep me updated on opportunities that are happening in the industry which is really useful.

In terms of student social life there is so much going on with lots of great student run events especially at Knights Park, which has a student bar and lots of great social spaces like the outdoor space along the river. There is also lots of pubs, things to do in Kingston and societies.

I will leave a few links to some previous posts I have done that you may find useful:
