Doubting my choices

I was really set on Lancaster to do mechatronic engineering until recently, i got worried about the lack of optional and overall modules on the course, compared to my other offers, as well as the size of the university and department. I have offers at liverpool, loughborough and leeds. I preferred Lancaster's campus and have a liking of the town vibe. I don't really know what to do know

Go to the offer holder days and get to see the departments up close. Feeling happy and settled is extremely important so make sure you work out how important that vibe is to you

Hi there!

Congratulations on getting some offers!

Deciding where you want to go to university is a really difficult decision so taking some time t go over all options is really important.

Going to Applicant and Offer Holder days are really helpful like @totallyfine said. They give you the opportunity to go to subject taster sessions and really see what their courses are like up close. They also give you the opportunity to have a look around the university campuses and talk to staff about any questions you have outside of the course. It is also the perfect excuse to have and have a look around the city that your chosen universities is in so you can get a better understanding of what it would be like to live there as well as study.

Being happy and settled is extremely important like @totallyfine said. You don't want to choose a university just based off the course then be unhappy but you also don't want to go purely off of vibes and not enjoy your course as much as you might be able to at a different uni.

It may sound boring but writing a pro's and cons list for each of the universities courses and general university life may really help you to make a decision.

I hope this helps!
