How much revision should you be doing per day for GCSEs?

Whilst I'm on track to do very well in my GCSEs, I don't want to risk any last minute cramming and would like to reduce stress for may/june as much as possible! How much revision do you think I should be doing per week? Especially for science and humanities.
At the moment I'm probably looking at 2h/ evening and 8h on the weekend, but I can definitely increase this if recommended

Hi there @VaBook7 ,

Honestly there isn't a set number of how much studying you should do daily - it's completely your choice. Obviously you've got to factor in how confident you feel about the content and if you've covered all the topics, but from then onwards it's just memorising and ensuring you understand everything.

Whatever you do, don't overwhelm yourself and do ensure you take regular breaks. As long as you make some sort of timetable and cover all the topics, you'll be okay if you start earlier on. Good luck with revision 🙂

Hi @VaBook7,

As Zaynab said above, there isn't a set amount that works for everyone. Some students learn certain topics incredibly quickly whilst others might need a little bit more time with them; it's not necessarily about how much revision you can do, but what the quality of that revision is like.

Two hours in the evening and eight hours on the weekend sounds absolutely fine. It's great that you want to be prepared for all of your subjects ahead of May/June, but be careful about burn-out; take rest days and allow yourself the occasional weekend off to pursue one of your hobbies or go out with friends. 🙂

Best of luck with your GCSEs,
Eve (Kingston Rep).
