dont put any money on it last year they all said it would be so I only revised it, plus since Macbeth is for all abilities kingship might never come up because it would be difficult for some people to write anything for

The most likely question for 2025 is:

How does Priestley explore the consequences of selfishness in An Inspector Calls?
Write about:
- The selfishness of one or more characters.
- How Priestley presents the consequences of selfishness.

Why is this likely?
- It links directly to past questions on responsibility, inequality, and morality but offers a slightly different angle.
- Selfishness is a driving force in the play—Mr. Birling’s capitalist views, Sheila’s initial behavior, Gerald’s actions, and Eric’s irresponsibility all contribute to Eva Smith’s downfall.
- It allows for a broad range of responses, covering multiple characters while still focusing on Priestley’s core message.
- AQA loves thematic questions, and "selfishness" is a fresh way to approach existing ideas of social responsibility.

Looking at the past trends of the AQA Power and Conflict poetry questions, the exam board seems to cycle through different themes and poems without repeating them too often in consecutive years. Here’s a breakdown of potential predictions for 2025:

Likely Themes for 2025:
- The themes tend to rotate between power and conflict, or how individuals are affected by war and experiences.
- Since 2024 was Kamikaze, which focuses on conflict and personal choice, 2025 might lean towards a different aspect—perhaps power or the effects of war again.

Possible Poem for 2025:
- The poems that haven’t appeared in recent years include:
- "Storm on the Island" (Power of nature and fear)
- "Tissue" (Fragility of power and control)
- "Checking Out Me History" (Power and identity)
- "The Prelude" (Power of nature and experience)

Given the pattern, the 2025 poem is likely to be "Storm on the Island" or "Checking Out Me History" —both deal with power and control but in different ways.

Predicted Question for 2025:
1. "How does Heaney present the power of nature in *Storm on the Island*?"
OR
2. "How does Agard explore the theme of identity and power in Checking Out Me History*?"

Alternatively, if they repeat a theme (like conflict or effects of war), they could go for "Exposure" or “The Emigrée", but I’d say Storm on the Island is the strongest contender.

I don’t do Jekyll and Hyde so Idrk but Macbeth a lot of people are saying supernatural cuz that has never been the main focus but kingship is also something that could potentially come up

Reply 9

do you have an essay plan for kingship ?

Reply 10

Many people are saying The Supernatural is most likely to come up- this could be in the form of like the supernatural as the driving force of Macbeths ambition etc. as basically they have to cover everything in the specification before the syllabus is rewritten again- and supernatural is still yet to come up. I would recommend watching the LightUpHub video on YouTube about the 2025 Macbeth predictions- just make some notes from that video to add to your revision.
