I’ve been offered an alternative course of ‘costume design and construction’ at NTU since they believed it suited my application better than ‘design for film and tv’ but what other courses would people reccomend e.g. fashion design that gets you immersed in industry or better trips/opportunities???

I’m gonna be studying fashion design at ntu in september. I chose it because it has amazing industry links and the course spec really gets you in the fashion world. There’s also a trip to Paris fashion week and a bunch of competitions to do to get your name out there. Costume and design does sound like a better fit for design for film and tv because I assume that you would learn about making custom outfits for certain characters. So it really depends on what you would like to learn and specify in, but i don’t see how the fashion design course wouldn’t help you do that either.
