Application to Oxford Engineering Science during gap year

Basically, I was unable to take Further Maths at my school due to timetabling issues. As a result, I was planning to do a gap year, learn FM and apply to Oxford (assuming I get 3A* or close to that in my A-Levels this year - otherwise I will go to university with the offers I have had this year). Just wondering if Oxford would see my application at a disadvantage, having taken FM in my gap year, rather than the 2 year period of my other 3. Thanks.

you could email or call the department and ask directly, they'll tell you

The required subjects for Engineering science at Oxford are Maths & Physics. Further maths is described as helpful.
Engineering Science | University of Oxford
What are your A' level subjects?
Generally, Oxford like to see the exams taken in the same year.

Maths, Physics, Music Technology - I picked this subject before I discovered I really liked maths...

You could apply this year. If you don't get an offer, learn FM as per your original plan and apply again the following year.

Yes, that's my plan, just wondering how much of a disadvantage I would be at due to not having taken 3 academic subjects in 2 years.

You won't be at a disadvantage. Because you will have achieved 3 A-Levels in Maths, Physics and Music Technology.

I wonder are you studying Pearson Edexcel A-Level Further Maths with CP1, CP2, FM1 and FM2 papers?

You did not say what your other offers were? Imperial? UCL? Durham? Warwick? Bath?
