Academical appeal: module 'closed'

Hello everyone,
Apparently my academic appeal got rejected as I you cannot apply for ECs for assessments before results are released when a module is 'closed'. I have no idea when a module is 'closed'. Im thinking of applying for stage 2.

It basically means you needed to apply before the fact rather than after. Post-examination, the module is 'complete' or 'closed'.

So you mean the ec should be applied for before exams only?

Yes, unless there are serious reasons why this could not be the case. Retrospective MCs are very rarely allowed to be applied for, much less accepted. This is policy at just about every institution in the country.

If you do have serious compelling reasons why you could not apply at the time, then you ought to speak to somebody from your institution's wellbeing or student support service.

Thank you btw. I do have reasons, a compelling health related issue, as to why I couldn't submit my EC before the exam. Also my uni allows an EC within one week after the first affected assessment as well post-exam but not before results are released.
