You interviewed for ILESLA as well, right? I also interviewed for both and thought the ES interview was more relaxed but also more technical. The ILESLA one was fast-paced/more stressful but less technical, IMO. What did you think??

Yeah I did. I thought the same, I come from a more mathsy background though so maybe got a bit lucky with some of the panel having less experience in what I did my research projects in. Can I ask if you are an international or home student?

I got an offer today for the earth sciences PhD, but it says it is unfunded at the moment and will be put up for university scholarships. I was wondering whether you might have a similar scenario going on?

I received offers for both; the earth sciences one is unfunded at the moment but I think its getting put up for funding in the next few weeks. The ILESLA one sent me an 'informal' offer notification, which doesn't detail anything about funding yet. Did you interview for ILESLA?

Just got an acceptance for the earth sciences dphil (on a Saturday??) but no word from ILESLA. Pretty unbelievable they are taking this long
