Oh did you apply for nursing, if you applied for diagnostic radiography I’m a bit confused on why they’re using a nursing scenario

No i applied for diagnostic radiography, the lecturer who was interviewing me asked me this as a last question

Yeah i realised that afterwards, it was my first interview for this course and i messed up so bad. The next one is for Coventry University

Ok try to stay calm, is it a group interview?? I’m happy to give tips if you want them and if you’ve got any questions you struggled on for bcu let me know xx

Imagine being rejected from BCU 💀

Diagnostic Radiography is a competitive course and BCU meets the high standards set by the HCPC for the course.

Do you think i can apply again for the same course at the same year in clearings?

I have passed the predicted grades but don’t know if my interview and rejection will stop me from getting the course at BCU so do you think i should let BCU go and go to other unis i’ve applied for even though BCU is my first choice

If you were rejected after interview, it is unlikely that you would be considered in clearing. Any clearing places at BCU tend to go very quickly on results day.
Please note that I have removed all posts discussing interview questions and answers as they break forum guidelines:

I am asking for ur grades generally . u think I dont know that . If I were to ask about ur gcse grades I can make a comparison on ur acceptance rate on other unis.

GCSE grades are only one (small) part of the application process for healthcare courses. You cannot predict if someone will be accepted for a course by comparing GCSE grades.

No not at all best advice would be know the 6C’s, Nhs values. Scenario questions may come up which You should always try be compassionate to the individual and remember that everyone deserves a chance and just speak confidently don’t be afraid to ask them to repeat a questions aswell and revise different modalities e.g Ct, MRI they expect to to know more than that and what one of them do. 😀😀Good luck!

They are all held to the same standards by the HCPC so it doesn't matter where you study. Choose the uni that you think you will enjoy the most and in a location you can see yourself living for three years.

Thank you for replying, I’m doing well with the 6Cs and I’ve got the hand of the basic questions, my main struggle is scenarios. I’m trying to practice a sort of strategy for scenarios which includes how to act professional, how to deal with aggressive patients, how to explain procedures and all that. Let me know if I should add any more topics. I’ve got a little over two weeks for my interview so I’m preparing from now. I just sort of panic with scenarios and I don’t want that to let my interview down

Hi, Of course i’m always happy to help I say that you learn only one procedure easiest one I found to learn was CT scans and maybe think of a disadvantage of it.They ask you one scenario question I say you ask Chat gpt I did and then changed it into my own words to try understand it, also if you have done work experience talk about that as they like to ask why u have chose the course over other healthcare courses or over therapeutic and what extra work you have done to learn more about it. Trust me you will be fine I thought I messed up my firm choice but apparently I didn’t. Just be confident 🤗!

How was your bcu interviews and once again thank you soo much for replying 💕, what should I expect from bcu, hard questions. Also I’ve done work experience in a pharmacy would that put me at a disadvantage. I tried to get one at my local hospital for radiography but they were too busy to accept

I don’t want to be too much but have you seen there gcse requirement and a level requirement. Honesty they accept Any other a level equivalent and ALL there courses accept any other a level equivalent like btec.

No university I know does All courses that does btec or any equivalent to A level it’s only BCU. They use ucas points for literally every course 💀💀

for my course it’s BBB and they want you to have 4 ur GCSE but so does LEEDS university. I don’t know about other courses obv diagnostic radiography more competitive in that University especially if people are getting rejected but there are way worse uni’s than BCU like I said I believe that reputation and stigma around DMU and coventry university is way worse but each to their own applying you BCU im actually applying to for my education to get my degree and im not at disadvantage going there I will still 100% get a job because they really do not care where I go soooo
