Has anyone been offered Kingston's new Pharmacy course with biopharmaceutics?

This course is new to this academic year to my knowledge, and I feel like i'm the only person in that's going to be taking it :frown: I applied for their Pharmacy course with the foundation year (without biopharmaceutics), but I got offered the one in the title because I was "potentially overqualified". Is anyone else in this position or is it just me?

Hey!

Congratulations on your offer!! I have heard of a few other people in your position that didn't necessarily need the bridge year of a foundation to join the course.

I definitely don't think you would be the only person on the course! But what I would recommend is joining our offer holder day on the 8th of March. All students with an offer should have received an email invite to this event which is similar to an open day but allows conversations with other students on the same potential course, lecturers that would be teaching you and a view of the facilities. I would definitely recommend coming along to join this as the Kingston offer holder day is what persuaded me to join the uni 3 years ago! (this was also for a new course that had only 3/5 years before me of teaching).

I hope this helped and please let me know if you had any questions

I just did my interview today for Kingston for that course that they have offered you a place, and if I get an offer then you won't be the only one! ((: Also, when did you do your interview?

The MPharm with Biopharmaceutics (2+3 years) has higher entry requirements compared to the extended MPharm with Preparatory Year. Applicants who exceed the entry requirements based on predicted grades will be offered a place.

The course isn't necessarily new as it has been running for several years under the Pre-Pharmacy Foundation Degree and delivers Year 1 of MPharm over the span of two years. Many students from this course have been among the top-performing students in the programmme.

You can find out more about the course here:
