Vet med gap year
Hi 
so I'm taking a gap year this year before reapplying to vet med and I am planning on doing some travelling
None of my friends are taking gap years and I was wondering if there was anyone on here located in the UK that wanted to come with me to travel around Scotland working on farms together and exploring the Scottish Highlands, maybe Ireland too!
It's through the wwoof programme, so it's totally free and it's a great way to get more work experience!

I got 6 9s and the rest 8s at GCSE and I haven't done my a levels yet, but I'm on track for 4 A*s, I am not the most confident person though which is where I went wrong in the interviews, but I'm going to improve on that in my gap year!

Hi! Im currently in Yr12 and trying to decide whether or not to take a gap year before applying to VetMed. Do you think I should apply this year and see if I get in first before deciding to take a gap year or not? Im considering doing 6 months travelling and 6 months work (vet related)

I think it totally depends on if you have enough work experience already, and what you want to do yourself. There's a lot of pressure to rush into things, but I think it's really important to take a break if you need it! and more work experience is always more useful for interviews
I'd say do whatever makes you happier, because at the end of the day, vet med will still be there!
