Is parent ESA (contribution based) part of household income?

Hope you can help to clarify. I am a disabled parent and on old-style ESA (contribution based) so it is classed as taxable benefit. I am confused whether to put that ESA as part of household taxable income for my daughter who wants to go to uni this Sept 2025, and wants to apply for student finance soon. We are also on Universal Credit and PIP. Her dad is also disabled and works.

Hi Gene,

Yes if it is a taxable benefit you will need to include this when you support the students application.

Thanks, Drew
