Yes OMG I was not expecting it. I kind of forgot about the application as I was distracted by other things and now I feel very overwhelmed and under prepared. How about you?

How did it go? I've never had a phd interview before and mine is later this week. Should I expect really technical questions or more general soft skills questions? How many questions?

Reply 5

I had Mine Today ,There Has been some technical questions , Not much tho , its all based on the task they asked you to present

Reply 6

So they ask you follow up questions on the task only? That's good I want sure what to prepare for. Is it as short as they say it is in the invitation email?

Reply 7

Is there any opportunity to ask questions? I havnt prepared any as given thr time limit I didn't think there would be an opportunity

Hello, anyone knows when should we expect to hear back?
And an other question, if you passed the interview is there still high chance that you get rejected on stage 3?

I'd break it down as follows based on the website :
After March 14 All candidates who were not shortlisted after the interview (Stage 2) will be informed that they were unsuccessful.
Mid-to-late March Departments finalize their nominations and send them to the central selection panel.
Early April The majority of informal offers will be communicated.
Later for reserve list candidates If you're on the reserve list, you may hear back later than early April.

so Im assuming starting today rejection emails will start.

Did anyone receive any emails?

Hello everyone! I have a question.
There are around 117 available projects for uela this year and they only have 50 scholarships. So the majority of projects will not be given scholarships.
Would you know how does that happen? Are some projects discarded because they had no good applicants or do some professors have more than 1 project and choose one of them or something?
