I, myself, received the email indicating my reservation from the EPSRC. I have contacted my supervisor and he conveyed that EPSRC do not often provide them with information before the final decision.

Oh I see, its already so late, so I am anxious about any result or update from their side. Anyways. thanks for sharing your side of the story and wish you luck for your future endeavours. 🥺

Hi guys, I just received a conditional offer from UELA (waiting for UCL to approve my application) after waiting for two weeks on the reserve list. Just wanted to let people know (I am lucky *******). I hope everyone will receive their good news soon!

I was querying if you received the mail directly from EPSRC org. or from the supervisor/PGT Admin people, but thank you. It has been rather late and there has been no updates from EPSRC so I was contemplating on writing an email to them regarding the same. Please advise.

They said in the email not to email them bc they can’t give updates so I think that if you email them it’s highly likely they will not respond.

I dont think so because they have sent some rejections already, so they would have sent rejections to all of us if all offers were made. And also there doesn't seem to be that many offers yet, so most likely it is department dependant and some offers are still to come

Just check the project catalogue and see which project you applied to, it shows if someone has accepted offer or under review, or if it has moved on to round 2 which is only applicable for home students. I saw my project already being accepted by someone else and it was rather sad as i didnt get any official mail either. 😓

Thanks for your point. I have checked my project but I is neither under offer nor accepted. What does it mean?

Thanks for your point. I have checked my project but I is neither under offer nor accepted. What does it mean?

The process is

the supervisors apply to have their project considered under the scheme (basically they apply for students to be able to apply for funding but no funding is guaranteed)

the students then apply for the project

the panel reviews the applications and then decides which projects get funding

No under offer/offer accepted could mean that the project is not going through at all or that they need to wait for other projects to fall thorough first, that would be my guess. If the university fails to assign all 50 awards there will be a second round in the summer however, my supervisor said that this is highly unlikely.
