It’s not that he interprets differently but Newcastle don’t accept resits for a levle fyi for dent

Okay let’s start gcse resits I would personally say its fine just avoids ones that don’t accept it majority do. Now the problem is that a level resit of bio. Majority and top ones don’t accept a level resits even yr 12 is still considered a resit and u do need good GCSEs. Now there is limited uni for dentistry and I know this cuz I have 2 unis that I fit in for dentistry and only 2 I see is fit out of all and I resitted both GCSEs and a levels. If you could tell me. More about ur academic background I could help u more and do u have AS official exams ?

ok so right now im year 13 for biology and psychology and year 12 for chemistry. will be applying to study dentistry 2027. i also resat my gcse maths and got a 7!!
from what i remember some unis didn’t respond but some also said my 3 year alevel period is fine since im not exactly resitting anything. my alevels are just staggered lol

OMG congrats!!! im kinda in the same situation and ive resat 4 of my gcses and none of the uni have replied about resit policy, i wanted to apply for kcl manchester queen mary and leeds for dent though they accept it but im just so scared it would disadvantage me significantly ☹️

dw!!! im sure everything will be okay. dental schools are very holistic and resitting 4 GCSEs is so impressive - shows alot of resilience and commitment. other things like ucat, interviews and ur personal statement matter too so i wouldn’t worry too much about being disadvantaged
though i do remember queen mary saying they don’t accept people in sixth form for over 2 years or something like that. other than that im sure gcse resits are fine. it’s more alevel resists that restrict where u can apply if i remember correctly
the only uni i can think of that doesn’t allow gcse resits is birmingham
