N5 study schedule

Hey, how much should I study for my upcoming N5 exams? My working grades are less than lower band 2, meaning i got Bs and Ds on my prelim (i studied the night before). I have approximately 50 days left, so is it reasonable to study 5 hrs day? Or even 8 hrs on the weekend? Is it too much or just enough?! Pls help!

Do you understand the content/remember a decent amount of what you studied? You probably want to be in a position of starting exam-condition past papers by the Easter holidays, so the amount of content you have left to revise will be a factor. Now would be a good time to do things like make sure your English texts are fully annotated, and that you can do the textbook questions with the help of notes so you’ve got time to ask your teachers questions. Realistically, after a long day at school you are probably going to manage 2-3 hours max in the evenings, and I wouldn’t push much beyond 6 hours at the weekend. Give yourself at least an evening and half a day (or full day) on the weekend off too. Before your study session set yourself a goal of what you would like to achieve and leave your phone in a different room. Set yourself a timetable with maybe one or two subjects per day. Two productive hours is much better than five unproductive ones. Consider anything you do in school from now on as active revision too - make sure you are understanding what is going on first time round and taking practice questions seriously. You’ve got this!
