Hi everyone! I thought it it would be nice to have a thread where the offer holders can discuss colleges, funding, etc.

has anyone received a college offer?

Reply 2

not yet, but I only got my offer last week

Not yet, I had my interview on Monday, they offered me a place at the end of it, and the official offer came through on Wednesday. They said the college place might take a while but is guaranteed, and funding’s a whole other wait.

I receive my offer today, but my prospective supervisor told me that I wasn't successful in acquiring any university scholarships, although I was recommended for them. How much chance is there for me to acquire funding at this point? Are there funding opportunities separate from the faculty?

Has anyone received offer from Msc Soicology?

I received my offer on the 1st and my college on the 5th, no word on funding yet. Any thoughts on whether the efficiency is a good/bad sign for funding? My deadline was Jan 28th

congrats! I wouldn’t read too much into that, as I also got my offer quite fast - in 3 weeks after deadline and have no idea whether I'm nominated for funding. May I ask which college gave you an offer?

Yea I have a feeling they're just moving quickly since it's a smaller program. Offer was BNC

Can anyone answer this, please? If you are unsuccessful in the Medical School Graduate School Studentship Competition, are you going to be considered for other university and college funding?

Have any of the MPhil offer holders from the humanities disciplines heard anything on funding / Clarendon, etc. yet? I saw a few people from MSt and quite a few from DPhil receiving Clarendon offers (on other threads), and of, a sizeable number went to the science students.

Dear offerholders, congratulations to you all! May I ask if any of you have had the upload button disappear for more than 11 days before receiving a decision?

No, my offer came 1-2 days after my button disappeared

Not yet, also wondering when funding decisions generally tend to come out

there's a thread for sociology msc applicants, and so far no ones heard anything. some peoples offerdocs are changing to 4, so that might be a sign that they'll release offers and rejections soon

Has anyone heard of anyone who has been admitted to Exeter? I put it as preference and was admitted to the course a while ago so I am just wondering whether their decisions might come out at the same time or in batches.

Thanks! Looks like even if we heard something by the end of March or even mid April, that would be a lot sooner, because given the nearly-half-the-year timeline, it's probably no use speculating.

Btw, does getting a Clarendon usually mean you're fully covered in terms of living costs, etc. I mean, considering the massive living costs in the UK, especially for international students, is the funding provided by the university usually sufficient? Does anybody here have an idea?

Do you know how long it took for him to hear back after he was admitted?
