Do i have a chance at Oxbridge with my GCSE's?

I am currently predicted A*A*AA and would like to apply for engineering, ideally at Oxford, however i didn't get the best GCSE results (9998877655). The 8s and 9s are in my STEM subjects, with the lower grades being English language, German and History. I was wondering to what extent would these grades hold me back from Oxbridge?

Oxford only really cares about GCSE results in relation to your subject choice. For example, if you want to study English and French at Oxford they’ll pay attention to your GCSE grades in those subjects. Also, they care way more about your A levels and your passion for your subject, and your predictions are stellar so I’d say you 100% have a chance.

You have exceeded the entry requirements for A-Level and also GCSE. So, please apply!!! 🙂

I wonder if you've chosen a college at Oxford yet? 😧

Why Oxford though? No year in industry and the course doesn't prepare you for a career in Engineering.
My 4 x A* students look elsewhere e.g Bath with their placement scheme. RG is irrelevant for Engineering.
