Cambridge MLMI Lecture Locations

Hi there,
I am an incoming Cambridge MLMI student, and I had some questions about where the lectures would take place. I have an underlying health condition that requires me to be generally in close proximity to my accommodation. I am quite worried about the distance between Clare Hall and the Department of Engineering (where I assume most lectures are held) and want to explore any other option that would allow me to be closer to the teaching. I would really appreciate it if you could tell me where the majority of the teaching takes place for MLMI.

It looks as though the MLMI is in the Trumpington street site, though Engineering is gradually 'moving west' out to West Cambridge. It's about a 20 minute walk, or 12 minute cycle between the two, and there are various cut-shorts that keep you in off-road spaces.

The Universal bus stops just outside Clare Hall and then somewhere around Peterhouse/Pembroke on Trumpington, maybe even outside the Fitzwilliam, which will cost £1 and cut walking down to about 2 minutes and 3 minutes at either end.

Thank you for the response! Do you know how possible it is to switch to a college closer to Trumpington (like Pembroke, Peterhouse, Downing)? I am really not worried about the college I end up in, and just want to be closer to where classes are.

It isn't usually possible now you have a College offer, unless you can evidence that your disability will make it impractical to reach the department. But speak to Clare Hall and your department, and the university Disability Centre and see what advice they give.
