I was originally going to apply for Psychology at Oxford, but heard the course is very maths focused/ science based.
Nonetheless, I’m still passionate in studying humans/ humanity in all aspects, hence why I landed on human sciences.I have a couple questions to ask in regard to the course and would really appreciate some answers!!
1) how hard is it to get into the course, is it considered competitive?
2) how do I make my application more competitive/ my personal statement more unique and catered to this subject- it really does intrigue me, but I’m not doing human sciences at the moment/ it’s sort of new
3) will this degree be useful for future employment/ what jobs can I get with a degree in human sciences?
4) are my GCSE grades good enough? I got 5 9’s, 2 7’s and 3 6’s and I’m wondering whether that might put me at a competitive disadvantage.
4) my current A level predictions are 3 A*’s an A* in EPQ- and speaking of EPQ, does Oxford consider it?
5) lastly, any general tips to make my admission more competitive is greatly appreciated!!I have a lot of other uni’s I’m also looking at, but I find the human sciences course to really intrigue meIf there are ant students currently studying the subject I would love to speak to you to learn more about it
