Teesside optometry timetable

Hello,
I am absolutely thrilled to have been offered a place to study optometry at Teesside in September 2025. I am hoping someone could share the previous year timetable so can have an idea on how to start planning and structuring my time. Thank you ☺️

Hi there!

Huge congratulations on securing a place with us! We can't wait to welcome you in September! 😄 What drew you to optometry? 👓

Timetables can vary year to year - Semester 1 timetables for the 2025/26 academic year will be available around the start of September time. All timetables are published via MyTU. In the meantime, for more info and FAQs on timetabling, check out this page here.

Let us know if you have any questions or need anything at all!

Hey! I would imagine you will hear by 1st April as all offers/rejections will be made by then. I interviewed in November and was offered a place last week.

One of my friend told me that don't go there as you won't be registered with goc and after you don't ur degree u will not be fully qualified as optometrist beacuse you won't be registered.
I'm confuse cus tht is like one of my option

It says on the website u might not get registered with the GOC which would mean you’d have sit extra exams, the uni may be registered by then.

I might contact the uni and ask them bc why they have a degree thatt doesn’t allow u to become an optometrist at the end waste of resources and time

The course is provisionally approved. The first cohort are yet to graduate this year and we are pending the GOC report which will come out in April.

Its not that hard however there is a heavy math / physics module in first year which around 75% of the course had failed and had to resit. Other than that, its good.. very hands on.
