How did it go, everyone?

Spoiler

Not bad

Absolutely awful wth was the last question and that second trace table omg

I actually do not know if I liked that or not.. I only think I got the first 2 programming questions right and the rest I would have just gotten a few marks idk, also why were there so many questions with .len and length?? was it just me who thought that? paper 2 will save me so its okay 😁

It wasn’t too bad. I found programming good, but i find the programming not too bad. For the last question i created a won variable, set it as false outside the while loop and then in the while loop set it as true. Then did for i in range and then for each hidden (i) i checked if it was an *. If it wasn’t won became false.
Would this work?
Also wtf was the question with merge sorts and odd… never seen that before.
Paper 2 is gonna be hard i think and haven’t revised a lot and its on the same day as English 😭😭

it actually went quite good!

it went rlly well for me but what did everyone get for characteristics of a structured approach?? i had no clue i put use of subroutines and functions, and use of parameters

i thought the question was the advantages of a structured approach

Oh I wrote about subroutines and why they were good 😭

Me too, I'm pretty sure that's valid as they are part of a structured approach

i overall liked the paper but the programming questions had me really stumped idk why but i struggled a lot on them but eh i gave them my best shot. rest of the paper was great

was the subroutine for the second trace table to add 2 nibbles together?

Pretty sure for the two marks: subroutines/functions/procedures; sequence/selection/iteration

i thought that at first but i dont think it had anything about the remainders, and i added them together without the algorithm and got a different answer, for the trace table answer i got 0101, but when you add the nibbles together you get 1001 or smth like that i dont remeber so i was a bit confused

i think it was just a random algorithm they dont always have a specific purpose

What if i wrote subroutines and decomposition

Oh don’t even, I just randomly took one of the nibbles and filled up every box with it 😭 the examiner’s going to think I’m mad

Hi all. This discussion will not help any of you in almsoy anything. On the contrary. Please relax, you all did your best. Exams are tricky, there's a bit of luck, a bit of technique, a bit of actual learning checked. It's not fully representative of your abilities.

omg what i dont even remember that nibbles question i remember the tracetable wait guys yk the boundary data question where it asked for an example : did it have to be erroneous as well i dont think i read the question properly so i just put 14-
