Food options at Kingston Uni!

Canteen
If the limited lunch options at Knights Park(KP) canteen do not interest you, try heading over to the larger canteen at Penrhyn Road(PR) campus! They usually have more lunch options like fish and chips, chicken and rice, pasta, pizza or vegetarian salads options.

Student Union Vending Machines
The newly renovated student union not only has fancy new sofas and community space but also a pantry with multiple microwaves and hot water dispensers to heat up your food :smile:

Additionally, a new automated Starbucks coffee machine and a few vending machines (sells sandwiches and snacks). If you are a coffee person, there are also coffee machines scattered around campus like the costa coffee in the PR canteen, coffee machines in KP canteen and KP library.

Meal Deals and eating out! :tongue:

If the food within campus is not to your liking and you are in a rush, pop over to the local Sainsbury near Townhouse Library to grab a meal deal (which includes their costa coffee vending machine)! Alternatively, if I'm looking to treat myself or want something more filling, Anar kitchen burgers or German Doner Kebab in the Kingston town centre are my usual go to. If you are looking for a cafe, I have heard great things about Mimosa or Marna cafes :smile:

Meal Prep

My usual preference to save money and to eat a sumptuous meal is to prepare meals in advance! Even if you are not a fan of being in a kitchen, mastering a single recipe would go a long way for your nutrition and budget! I usually like to make different variations of chilli con carne/ pasta/ soups. I like to make a big pot to freeze to last me through the week, especially during the exam/ deadline season! Do you like to meal prep? What are your go to student friendly meals?

@Zhi En I started mealprepping when I first moved to uni, but after a while I stopped. I live at Kingston Hill Campus and they have great variety of food at the Eat Center. We also have a small shop, where you can get almost anything you want. For those of us that don't like mealprepping, Kingston Business School is perfect😄
