HRM dissertation advice

Hi we are coming up to the time when I have to submit a dissertation research proposal, but I'm really struggling, we haven't been given any advice on how to write a good research question and I keep second-guessing myself.
I'm interested in the following areas; work-life balance, work-family conflict, employee well-being, and diversity. Does anyone know of any interesting research gaps in these areas or just in general? Additionally, does the research question have to be very specific, as in down to a particular industry? (needs to be feasible within a 3 and a half month period)
Hi!
I found that focusing too much on what I wanted my research question to be elongated the process a lot more!
The specifics of the research question will more than likely change as you go through your dissertation, and this is normal so don't worry! This is because you will probably find more gaps in the research or areas you would prefer to focus on the more you research.
The best way to approach it is to keep it simple, don't try to make a really difficult dissertation or research question, keeping it simple pays off!
Start by researching the topics or areas that you are interested in, check what the rationale was for those studies to be carried out, and check the end of the paper, a lot of studies will discuss where further research is needed, and this could lead you in the right direction
Also, don't be afraid to have a general idea and then reach out to a lecturer to help you refine it a bit!
Hope this helps!
