Jobs while at LIPA

Does anyone know whether LIPA allow you to have a job alongside your studies? I know that some performing arts places can be quite strict about it and wondered whether I'd be able to have a job if I went and did the acting course

Music or acting/MT. Contact hours are higher for the latter.

My daughter, however has struggled to find a job in Liverpool (despite the fact she worked full time for 3 years before going to uni). There are approx 150-200 applicants for every vacancy it seems.

Hi, thanks for the reply that's good to know! I'm sorry your daughter's been having so many difficulties that's an incredibly high ratio. My course would be acting so would have high contact hours

Hello!! I’m currently at LIPA, they do indeed allow you to work- I’m not on the BA, but our full days are 9-6 (this is currently 4 days a week for us) but I know some courses can have classes which run a bit later than this, so the people with jobs in my cohort generally do front of house at the theatres and performance venues in the city, teaching work on the weekend or bar work.
