Graduate Entry Medicine - do I even stand a chance?

Hi! International student here. I just graduated last year and was about to start a Masters in Speech & Language Therapy in Australia, but recently had a change of heart and thinking about applying for GEM. Reflecting on previous personal experiences with various health issues I find I'm increasingly interested in medicine but GEM seems to be incredibly competitive and comes with opportunity costs so I wanted to ask if I even stand a chance first.

My background:
- BA (1st) from Oxford in Psychology & Philosophy (no chem/bio/physics components beyond basic neuroscience though)
- Volunteer experiences: 3 years volunteer at Nightline, but no hospital roles.
- Research experiences: 2x research experiences in Mental Health (social determinants and impact evaluation), 1x in public health (COVID policy)
- 44/45 for IB back in highschool with a 7 in Higher Level Math (though I don't think that counts?)

If I work hard this year, take additional volunteer experiences (in my country, not in the NHS), and get a very good UCAT score, what sort of chances do I have for GEM courses? And if I also do a few additional A-Levels might I have a chance at Oxford‘s GEM? Or should I stop the day dream and just focus on getting into something else instead?

Thank you so much!
