is it worth getting SFE if you get your SQE funded

Hi there!

I was just wondering if anyone who got their SQE funded also relied on Masters SFE?
I know people in London are more likely to use their SQE grant + SFE. However, I live outside of London. Due to living in a small time commuting is not ideal as I need bus+train to get to city.
I’m gonna be living at the city and rent alone takes 99% of my Firm’s grant I been given (11K out of 12k). I have around 2/3K on my account which I can use to live: food, textbooks, subscriptions, etc however, taking the SFE loan would take loads of financial burden out of me as I’m currently working (hours being dropped to part time).

But I wouldn’t want to make a silly decision and take the loan which I would have to eventually pay back. I do not want to be unreasonable and take all of that masters loan as I would probably be good with an extra 5k and 12k is not 100% NEEDED. But 16 months at uni with about 3k idk…
