Maintenance Loan & Moving House

Hi,

Will it create issues if I move in with my other parent, before applying for my maintenance loan, if this would increase the loan I’m entitled to?

Whilst it’s said that the loan depends on which parent you live with or factors like who has more contact/provides more financial support, but what if this changes soon before the application? Is the historical context considered or is it just the facts at the time?

I’ve historically lived where I am now, with Parent 1 but intend to move in with Parent 2 after college but this could only be for a few months, as I’d need to move out for college, so I’m worried it could be seen as fraudulent or something, despite us having already discussed the idea, before realising it would affect the loan. (Note: The plans have not been finalised, which makes me worried that the loaners may think the final decision was affected by the loan amount)

I’m also unsure if I’d need to stay with Parent 2 during term breaks to avoid suspicion, if I could see both parents equally or just stay wherever is practical at the time
