a level french again

i am in year 13 and i am still suffering at french a level
i listen to french music regularly, and i have completed every french past paper 1 since 2018 yet i am still stuck at a D, sometime i dont even get more than 50% on my test paper, i am significantly belwo everyone in my class and ofetn feel like i have no clue what is going on , my two friends in that class can hold conversations easily whilst i cant understand them.
what can i do to improve, i have a tutor who comes every week and we cover grammar however it never seems to help.
i study la haine and l'etranger and i constantlt f up the essays which is quite bad cause i want to go to uni and i need to pass french to go to uni
its a real possibility that i could get a u in this exam which is kinda shocking
pls help before i rip my french teacher a new a hole
