Is Loreto college manchester a good sixth form?

Hi, I’m thinking of going Loreto this year and am taking the subjects sociology psychology and law. Although I’m a bit sceptical on the college as people say ‘it’s trappy’ and ‘the people there aren’t great’ can sm1 pls share how it actually is, thankyou!

Graduated from Loreto in 2021. I hated that school, but it is mostly because I hated the A Levels I chose. I wish I just went to a regular school, than an elite school.

There are some other good colleges in the area. There is the Manchester College and the Trafford and Stockport College Group who both have various campuses in that area. I would a) check their Ofsted Reports and b) pay a visit to their campuses during open days before deciding. I know a lot of people that went to the TSCG and had a great time, but as they say on gameshows...the choice...is yours

I'm currently in Lower Sixth/Yr12 at Loreto studying Law, business and classics.

Regarding it being trappy, I highly disagree as the timetables are spread out in good chunks so there time to chill or quickly get something off campus (eg I know people who have no lessons on Friday...lucky people). I would say the people are great but it's only first meetings where it can be awkward but only because most friend groups will likely be divided across different forms and classes

Nice choice if a-levels just be prepared for lots of writing
