Reapplying for nursing

Hi I’m looking for some advice. I left high school in 2022. I spent one year in uni then dropped out. I was hoping to go back to uni this year, but I’m a bit confused on the whole process. I was planning to apply through clearance since I’ve left it a bit late. And that leads me on to my first question, since I’ve been out of education for a few years, am I still eligible to apply through clearance? I also want to go back to do nursing. In my SQA Highers I got ABBB at S5. The uni I’m wanting to go too requires AABBB but their adjusted entery requirements are BBBB. I meet the criteria for adjusted entry, however, am I still entitled to it as I’ve been out of education for a few years?

What qualifications do you need to study nursing at university.....
Each university sets its own entry requirements, but in general you'll need at least five 9-4 (A-C) grade GCSEs (including English, maths and a science subject) and at least two (most prefer three) A levels

So I'm guessing you are Scottish resident wanting to study nursing in Scotland....
Those entry requirements you mentioned for the university you want to go to for nursing sounds like QUEEN'S MARGARET UNIVERSITY ( outskirts of Edinburgh) ??
The information I posted above are the minimum entry requirements for nursing in Scotland and each individual university sets it own entry requirements unfortunately 😔 😔 😔....
At least you were able to get your grades adjusted.

Hopefully you'll be successful in a interview for nursing.

If the courses you want to apply to are still accepting applications, you can apply now through UCAS rather than waiting for clearing. That way you get 5 choices. Check uni websites carefully and if is it not clear if the course is still open, email admissions to ask. Your qualifications are still recent enough to be considered for entry this year.
