What you can expect at an Offer Holder Day - Kingston University

Now that we’re heading towards the end of February, that can only mean one thing. The Kingston University Offer Holder day is coming up on the 9th of March! In this blog I thought I would list a couple of tips to make sure you can make the most of the day. When I was considering university I was adamant that I didn't want to go, but the offer holder day at Kingston is what persuaded me when I was really reluctant. I could really see myself at the uni, living in the location and working well with the other offer holders and the lecturers.

What to expect-
Offer holder days are a super exciting chance to do a ‘day in the life’ of a Kingston student. From meeting potential future course-mates, being introduced to your lecturers and gaining a feel for what your uni life might be like, offer holder days are an amazing way to get a head start. It is dependent on course but for the majority you’ll head to the campus you’ll be based at and be led to a talk (with potential practical elements) by the teaching staff of your course. If you’ve already been to one of our open days the organisation of how the day runs isn’t too dissimilar. And if you do have a little wait in-between events/ talks then feel free to talk to the student ambassadors about as they’re the most equipped to tell you what being a Kingston student is like!

Make sure you're registered!-
Offer holder days are invite only but you do still need to register. Invites began being emailed out in January of this year so make sure to check your emails and even spam folders. From the email you’ll be able to follow a link and register your place so that once you’re here you can sign in and make the most of your day.

Know what you want to gain-
Whilst you will be given insight into a lot of helpful information through the offer holder day, if there’s something specific you want to see or you have a bit more of a niche question, being prepared doesn’t hurt! Especially when it comes to accommodation, a great thing to do is to gather the information you can from the Kingston website so if you do have any questions you can have them answered on the day! Looking at accommodation options and the course page you’re studying is definitely something I would recommend as they’re two super important factors for your first year here at Kingston. The offer holder day is largely based on courses but there is the chance to find out about other elements of life here at Kingston.

Hi there! The day starts from 8:30 until 5pm or 2pm depending on your course and campus. We will have campus tours and welcome talks throughout the day but I would recommend coming earlier in the day incase that is when your specific subject talk is. This offers you a chance to not rush anything and really get to know peoples views and experience of the uni. When I visited for an open day I also wanted to scout out the accommodation and the town so that is also an option to do throughout the day

Hope this helped and we are excited to see you!!

Hi @Anth123

I am not sure exactly but it should be soon, keep an eye out on your emails as well as spam and junk folders.

If you make your way to check in and welcome on the offer holder day they should also be able to help you plan your day and see when talks are being held.

I hope this helps

Hi,

Is it international business management?

I have found a course we provide that is a 1 year long course or can be made 2 years with a placement.
I will leave the link for more information.
International Business Management Masters (MSc) degree course - London postgraduate courses - Kingston University London

Hey!

Have you been to one of our offer holder days?

I personally loved mine and found it a great way to meet my potential classmates before uni started. I also could talk more in-depth to lecturers and try out a sample lesson which I couldn't do on an open day. I also loved getting time to visit the location of Kingston as well as have a tour around the uni's facilities which really persuaded me to go to Kingston!
