Leeds or Exeter?

Currently have offers from Exeter, Birmingham, Leeds and Cardiff for history. Visited them all and absolutely loved leeds and exeter but had very different vibes- cardiff is my safety.

Would love some opinions please

I’m from a small ish town- enjoy going out and am scared exeter will be boring, its also got better train links to me which I prefer. Nightlife at leeds looks amazing and the people I met seemed more my kind of people but I also didn’t meet many at exeter. Exeter is also better ranked… but not sure how much that matters.

Birmingham not so much the social life is not great here, Cardiff not so really but I would put Exeter defo at my toplist as it is prestigious and Leeds second and so Cardiff is 3rd.

Also congrats!! What did u get in ur GCSEs and AS grades if u did them or A level predictions

Thank you! And 8877666665 and predicted A*A*A and I’ve done an epq so hopefully got an A in that so I get the reduced offers🤞

Rankings don't mean a lot as they are very subjective. What does matter is the course content and if it interests you. That should be your priority so compare modules and optional modules and think about what you would choose if you studied there. Are there options for overseas study or placement years? Then think about the location and what it offers you in terms of accommodation availability and cost (for all years of the course), social life and societies, travel, etc. Take your time and don't make your decisions until at least April.
