Atomic masses on the periodic table basically are the mass of one mole of atoms of that element in grams.

You have the mass of one atom of said element in grams, so how would you scale that up to the mass of one mole of atoms?

Hello apricot06!
Okay, here's how the calculation works:
Basically, you take the mass of one atom (in grams) and multiply it by Avogadro's number to get the molar mass (in grams per mole).
(8.64 × 10^-23 g/atom) × (6.022 × 10^23 atoms/mol) = 52.02 g/mol
So, what is it?
This molar mass is close to chromium (Cr), which has an atomic mass of about 51.996 g/mol. Simply look up the element on the periodic table to find the atomic mass closest to the result of the calculation.
