Second undergrad, mature student - law

Hello!
I have completed an undergraduate from India, a BBA.LLB alongside the course for accountancy. I wanted to apply for an undergraduate program for law in the uk to eventually study comparative law.

What are my chances? Does having an undergraduate from India reduce my chances of getting in? Should I just apply for a masters?

Hello,

Having an undergraduate from India should not reduce your chances of getting in but ultimately you should speak directly to the universities in which you are interested in. Although whether you do a master's or undergraduate is completely up to you, it depends on what your motivations are. If you are interested in the law generally and learning for 'fun' then maybe an undergraduate will be beneficial as it will expose you to a diverse range of law. However, if you are just interested in comparative law then maybe you could go straight into the master's, but having said that an understanding of law generally would likely be helpful.

Ultimately, if you want to enter a legal career as a solicitor or barrister in England and Wales then you will be required to do either a qualifying law degree or the law conversion course which will teach you the compulsory areas of law required for these professions.

I hope this helps, if you have any further questions please do let me know.
