Kingston offer deadline

Within my Kingston offer email it asks that I respond within 2 weeks but does this mean that if I don’t respond my offer will still be held or will it be withdrawn automatically after the two weeks are up?
I’m not sure if the two weeks are solidified or not as it is an extremely short amount of time 🥲

Is this for a undergraduate course for which you applied via UCAS? If so, then you have until 5 June 2025 to decide which of you offers will be your firm choice and which will be your insurance choice.

Are you able to provide the exact wording in the e-mail? What is it (other than "respond") are they asking that you do within two weeks?

Finally, are you an international student? (If so, the e-mail may about your Confirmation of Studies, visa, and related activities.)

This is the email I received in response to my direct application to their art foundation as a home student:
‘As we receive high numbers of applications each year, we ask that you accept the offer within two weeks of receiving this offer.’

wow, this is extremely short! I also got accepted for a Art Foundation course, at UAL, but I have time until August 15 to pay the deposit and decide whether I will accept the offer or not.

Thanks. The fact that you didn't apply via UCAS (which you can't for this particular course anyway - you can only apply direct) means that the date I mentioned above does not apply. I can't find any guidance on the web site about the two week acceptance deadline, so I think you're going to need to contact them yourself and ask the question.

Is the course you're referring to their Foundation Diploma in Art, Design & Media Practice? I must admit that I've never seen universities offering BTECs before (which is what this course appears to be) so all the usual rules don't seem to apply. Also, I feel sure that this is the Level 4 Foundation in Art, Design and Media Practice (rather then the Level 3 version), but is seems odd that they don't explicitly mention that on the course page. This is clearly an area I need to research more!

Of course! Yes, I applied for the diagnostic route about two weeks ago and got the offer five days later. But I am an international, maybe that's different.

I read that most of applicants did't yet hear back, so it's really very early. I keep fingers crossed!

Hi there!

Congratulations on your offer!!!

I haven't studied a foundation here at Kingston, and have had a look at the rest of the thread to catch up with all of the info! So as said, because this isn't a course applied through UCAS then the deadlines surrounding this are different- however, I understand it seems like a short time before making the decision! I as well would have recommended to contact us which is great that you have done so and I hope that the reply is useful.

Just a reminder to also check your emails if you are invited to our upcoming offer holder day on the 8th of March! It is a great opportunity to view the facilities and get to know others on tour course and the lecturers. Hopefully this will also put your mind at ease. I would recommend this as it is what got me super excited for uni and overall make my decision

I hope this helped!

Hello,

I understand how stressful waiting for a response can be, especially with a short deadline. If it's been two days and you've not heard back yet, it might be worth giving them a quick phone call to follow up, sometimes emails can take a bit longer to process.

In the meantime, if there's anything specific that's making you feel unsure about the offer, you could share or. ask questions on here. Also, if you do get the chance to attend the offer holder day, it might help you feel more confident in your decision.

Hopefully, you'll hear back soon.

Do you know which phone number I should call in relation to this? If so it would be super helpful!
