How much time does it take get a visa application approved?
Hi all, I am an international student who, fortunately, has several offers at GSA for bachelor programs (HE) and at UAL of the Foundation course (FE). After I have figured out finances (I depend on a scholarship decision in my home country), I have to decide which offer I want to take.
How long does it take for a Visa application to be approved? Also, is there a difference in processing time between HE and FE visa applications?

It depends. First, you need to obtain CAS (confirmation of acceptance for studies) from your uni. CAS is a must for student visa. Sometimes unis take ages to issue CAS (you may search "CAS delay" in TSR). So act fast to decide on your course/uni and apply for CAS. The next hurdle is financial proof, see if your scholarship is adequate for visa application or you need extra money:

If you are from one of the trusted countries listed above, financial proof is not required and your visa application will be more straightforward and might got approved within 1 to 2 weeks. Otherwise it would be quite unpredictable.

thanks a lot for your explanations, that helps! Fortunately, I am from one of these "trusted" countries. However, I will try to act fast, just depends in my application for a scholarship in my home country. This is all so complicated and exhausting!

I usually start by gathering all my documents and submitting my visa application as soon as finances are sorted. Generally, the process takes about 3-4 weeks. There's no notable difference in processing times between HE and FE visa applications, since both follow the same guidelines
