What university’s do dental hygiene? And what would I need to do in order to become a dental hygienist!

Lots of universities offer DH. Cardiff, bristol, Portsmouth, Newcastle etc. Most have their own entry requirements a good start is to have the dental nurse qualification. Or if you have science a levels. The DN qualification will be equivalent to one a level. You need basic English language gcse and some ask for maths and science. Also additional DN qualifications are favourable such as oral hygiene. It’s a VERY competitive course.

VERY. They have thousands of applications and only a small proportion get an interview. Cardiff for example has over 1000 applications of which about 200 get interview and then only 18 spaces for dental hygiene. I only know of Cardiff as that’s who I’ve applied for. Bigger establishments like Newcastle take on a lot more.
