Migrant worker maintenance loan

Good morning,
I am a first year student and I applied to student finance because I have lived 3 years in London uninterrupted, so I was entittled to maintance loan as described in the Government's Website.
When I applied I did not know I was applying as a migrant worker, so now Student Finance is asking me for evidence of employement, which I don't have since I lost my job at the beginning of October last year.
I have applied for other jobs recently and verbally requested jobs in my area, but I have not got any luck yet.
On top of that my placement requires full flexibility to succesfully complete the degree.
I am engaged and estranged but even if my partner supports me I believe Student Finance England will cancel my maintenance loan as they do not take in count my partner's financial support.
Any advise on what to do? Or any idea where can I find a casual hop on job?
