Applying to 3+ Courses in a Single Uni

I already applied to 3 course (all somewhat related) to a single uni, and I have one more option. If I use my additional option for the same uni, it will mean I applied to the same uni for 4 courses. Will this lower my chance or no?

Hi,

Do all 3 courses (and the 4th one) have the same entry requirements? If so, then I would suggest choosing another university for your 4th option with lower entry requirements as a back-up option. Your chances aren't lowered by applying to the different courses but if they all have the same entry requirements and you don't achieve those grades, the university might have a strict policy with accepting you so it's best to have another option as a backup.

Best of luck!

Just be aware that many courses are considered as 'one subject group' by many Unis - ie. the BSc and MSci version of the same subject, and/or the 'with study abroad' options etc MAY be processed as one group with no separate offer targets for each pathway, and therefore you dont actually increase your chances of any offer at all, you'll just get multiple offers for what is essentially the same course. Its always worth phoning/emailing that Uni to ask.

If they are different subjects, it may appear that you are too 'Uni focussed' and not actually interested specifically in any one course/subject - and your PS may not actually work for all those course choices. Again, contact the Uni and ask for their advice.
