Advice for uni choices 2025! where is the most fun?

I'm studying my 2nd year of A-levels, and I'm applying to Computer Science (with AI if the uni has the AI course)
These are my choices: from top priority to least (as of right now)
- Bath/Southampton (presumably best for CS with AI)
- UCL (great uni but too expensive)
- Sheffield (no comment)
- Exeter (safety)

Out of these 5, which uni has the best social life/nightlife? which uni has the most fun people/activities? which uni can i go to without falling into depression? lol

I almost went to Sheffield and its student union is incredible. Both friends, who went there, would 100% reccomend.

I’d say Bath is amazing, too.

Bath is one of the most expensive cities in the country with serious under-supply of housing and no London rate maintenance loan. If London isn’t affordable for you then Bath is probably also too expensive to live in.

It sounds like you like Southampton, it’s a bigger city with better nightlife than Bath (a bit weaker for some sports) so seems like a good fit for you?

Attend the open days since the unis are all very different e.g. Bath is a campus uni, Sheffield is not. You will ge a much better feel by attending the open days.
