Maintenance loan

Hi. I'm in my first year at uni. We've been told that after Easter we won't be returning til Sept 2nd year, due to how the course works and assessments etc. I'm just wondering and hoping I still get my third maintaince loan scheduled payment in April ? Obviously I'm still a uni student and have board etc to pay, but just checking as I won't physically be attending uni after end April until I start and year in Sept ill get my third payment for this year.
Thank you.

Hi!

Yes you will receive payments as scheduled by student finance England. If you wish to query this further I recommend speaking to your university's admin team or your personal tutor.

Hope this helps! Faye 🙂

Hi there!

Yes, you should still receive your payment if it has been scheduled by Student Finance. You can check the date you will get it on your Student Finance account.

Hope this helps!

Hey @Samgottsking,

You should definitely still receive your third maintenance loan payment. Regardless of whether or not your course organises scheduled teaching post-Easter, you're still attending university as a full-time student with rent and expenses to pay. Either way, the third maintenance loan payment is typically intended to financially support students throughout the last term/summer period, so there'd be no reason for you not to receive it.

As LHU Lottie said, you can double check when that payment is scheduled for through your Student Finance account. 🙂

Hope that helps,
Eve (Kingston Rep).

Hi there,

If your application was originally accepted by Student Finance, you should get the maintenance loan with no issues! Many courses end around April-May and don't resume until September, so this is normal.

If you ever have doubts about payments, you can check the status of each scheduled payment on your Student Finance account. If something doesn't look right, make sure to reach out to the contact details provided to resolve it!

I hope this helps,
