Veterinary medicine gateway

Hi , im currently ayear 13 student and ive been applied to veterinary medicine gatway in RVC, Bristol, uclan and nottingham.
Im extremely anxious and stressed because i got rejected from every uni i applied to except my first choice which is RVC and im kinda feeling not good enough and hopeless.
Ihave predicted AAB and 3 weeks work experience in animal farm, 2 weeks i a charity shop, moocs and online courses, volunteering with RSPCA and 2 weeks of research placement.
staying at home and doing a gap year is almost impossible for me because of toxic environment and im very passionate about veterianry medicine .
I was thinking what do you think is my chances of getting into RVC? im just very anxious and cant concentrate on anything and id really appreciate your realistic response.

I’m pretty much in the exact situation at the moment aswell so I sympathise with you. I’ve applied to RVC gateway aswell (my first choice) and haven’t been rejected but also haven’t received an interview yet but have been rejected from my other choices. The gateway course isn’t down to grades and work experience necessarily as they accept students with C’s/D’s it seems it’s mostly down to interview performance score that they decide who gets what offers (but if it’s between 2 candidates with similar scores online it says they will review things like personal statement, grades and other things to decipher between two candidates) Your clearly very capable and have good experience so I think you have a good shot at getting a place, but I fully understand why it is so stressful it’s a long wait and a lot rides on it. I wish you all the best.

Thank you, I hope we both get in! I’ve struggled with the rejection aswell, it feels like it’s personal and I’ve worked so hard aswell potentially for not a great outcome.
If you do want to talk about it you’re welcome to message me, it’s such a stressful time and you’re not alone at all🤍

Hi, I was thinking as we both have our interviews same day and same time would you like to practice with me?I think we can both ask each other questions and give each other feedback and both benefit from it?
