EPQ grade based on personal liking

How can I prove that my EPQ teacher marked me down? Ive shown my final EPQ at another examiner of EPQ at another school and she said it was an A based on the marking scheme. My school awarded me a B because the teacher does not like me at all and has ignored me since we started. She has a chip on her shoulder about my mum who used to work at teh school and now resigned cause she was bullied by her and I pay teh price. She also told me that the school will stand by her grade and will not appeal. I need an A and I was 10 marks off but that was contested by teh other marker. Help, as this will blow all my chances to get to the uni I want. Thanks

Hello,

I am very sorry to hear you are in this situation. The problem is marking can be highly subjective and it is likely that your school have been through internal moderation and so will stand by the grade. It may also be challenging to appeal the grade as you would be questioning someone's academic judgment which is not liked.

You may want to wait until you get your official results back because the exam board will moderate the work and if you are still not happy then you should be able to appeal officially

I hope this helps, if you have any further questions please do let me know!

Our EPQ cohort had some weird stuffs with external moderation, none of us went down but if we could go up, we went up. Fairly sure a coupla people squeezed out the next highest grade because of it, so like UoL rep says, best to focus on other subjects till you get the exam board moderation n then work from there. Best of luck to you!
