Degree or Degree Apprenticeship?

I'm interested in becoming an Accountant, which route is better, a degree apprenticeship or doing accounting and financ/accounting degree?

Pursue an Apprenticeship if you would prefer to gain insight into what Accounting will be like as a Career. Apprenticeships are very good in allowing you to see what a day in the life would be like and to see if it is the right Career for you.

Are you currently doing A-Levels? If so, what are your A-Levels?

For accounting, not doing A level maths shouldn't really be an issue, and anywhere that you need some type of complex math knowledge you will be taught anyway whether you do an apprenticeship or uni degree

Definitely a degree apprenticeship because most companies will pay for your AAT or ACCA. Honestly, it's also a factor route to legally working at an Accountant. Personally I'm doing a course at uni as a foundation year but afterwards I'm going to apply to a apprenticement afterwards because working is the end goal. The downside is that you will be tasked with a lot of work and study so think about whether you are able to handle that much responsibility.

Both have their benefits and drawbacks to consider, but I would honestly recommend the PwC Flying Start programme, as it's almost like the best of both worlds. Feel free to ask any questions you have regarding it, as I have done my research on it.
