After sixth form (A-level)

I'm new in England, I moved here to study sixth form and finish my career in England too.
I have not been very clear how the academic issue there works in England. I understand that the A-Level are 2 years, right?

In my case, I will study a scientific career, in which that entails: physics, chemistry and biology.
Once is the 2 years of A-Level ended, then the university follows? Will they make final exams in the subjects to know how your level is and if you get into the university you want?

Yes, once you have finished two-years of A-levels, the next step is university (however you don't have to do this immediately afterwards, many people take a gap year between sixth form and uni).

I'm unsure from your post whether you have already started at sixth form or not, but if you haven't - once you begin the process should be made clear to you by the staff.

But basically yes, at the end of the two years you will sit exams in each of your subjects. The universities you apply to will ask for specific grades you have to meet (e.g ABB). You'll set a firm choice of uni and then an insurance choice. Typically , you would pick an insurance choice with lower grade requirements as, if you don't make the grades for your first choice, you will then be accepted into your second choice instead.
